Fall Decor Inspiration: A Nancy Meyers Aesthetic

Fall is here! Well, kind of. In Florida we are just hoping our days of mid to high 90s are over and we can thrown on a light jacket here by December. Regardless of the temperature outside, its simply just cozy season. Something about the autumnal months makes you want to grab your softest throw blanket, turn on some mid-level lighting and watch a Nancy Meyers film. Which is what inspired this bog post. This is me jumping on the Nancy Meyers aesthetic trend but let’s make it the fall decor edition.

Throughout this post I have, of course, some nice and light transitional designs but I added in some moody pieces. As you scroll through the pictures, you can see its a little Nancy Meyers and a little moody cottage core, with rich tones, natural elements, lots of patterns (florals, plaids, stripes) but still some unique pieces that stand out (because that is what we are all about). I have a few marble and colored glass pieces which are a great way to switch out small color pops in your space. Remember, when you are decorating for a new season it doesn’t have to be a new tchotchke, it can be something as simple as changing out your glassware, floral arrangements, blankets, linens, candles, etc, items in your home that you use everyday. Switch them out for the season and it will all come together to create a new vibe for your space.
